Bina Bangsa School: In the Words of the Alumni

What is it like going to school at Bina Bangsa? Who better to answer than our esteemed graduates and students? So let’s look at the BBS student experience, as told by the students themselves.

“Bina Bangsa is not like any other international school that I know. It helps me to learn many things and to have a better character.”

 Josephine Natasha (BBS Semarang JC1)

Willing to go the extra mile, our teaching staff are fully committed to our students’ learning, as well as to their growth as individuals.

“The teachers and staff are some of the most compassionate and dedicated people I have ever met. They will always encourage me to do better, and will lift my head up wherever I am losing faith in myself.”

Lavitania Pratiwi Searjaya (BBS Malang, JC2)

This teaching culture that builds relationships between students and teachers is important to us.

“The teachers are very supportive and understanding. When a student needs help with a problem in their studies or in their daily life, the teachers help find an effective solution.”

Bianca Himawan (BBS Semarang, Sec. 1)

Beyond on-campus learning, we believe that students would benefit from co-curricular activities (CCAs) and social work that would benefit others. Thus, we work tirelessly to ensure that our students have the opportunity to do so, while at the same time they can explore which activities or social issues they are passionate about.

“They have helped me grow by challenging me to go out of my comfort zone and maximise my potential. I remember I was just a quiet and nerdy girl in class. Never had it crossed my mind that I would join the Debate team and represent the school in competitions, become a prefect, or help out a nearby community by building a library there.”

Irene Chandra (BBS KJ Alumnus)

Irene’s experience of building a library at a local community is one example of the kind of social work that we encourage our students to participate in, as it builds empathy for others.

In addition to a committed teaching staff, we also understand the importance of instilling constructive values that will help our students form their identities.

“She learned a lot at school, both academics and non-academic aspects. Moreso, the school puts equal emphasis on the religious and ethical issues, besides the concepts to live a practical life.”

Bernardi Widjajakusuma (BBS Bandung parent)

Guided by the Word of God, not only do we strive for excellence in the education that we provide for our students, but we also expect our students to demonstrate our institution’s core values of dedication, integrity, teamwork, passion, and compassion in all that they do.

BBS accepts applications for all its six campuses in Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Malang, and Balikpapan for Pre-School, Primary, Secondary, and Junior College education levels. Click here to find out how to apply.
