Primary 6 Field Trip

Zoe Augusto Pook - Primary 6

It was on a Sunday, 16th February 2023, when our class embarked on a glamping field trip to Yogyakarta. We were all excited to take a break from all the hectic school work and spend the next few days in the great outdoors. As we travel to the glamping site, we admired the rolling hills and lush forests that surround us.

What a sight to behold as we arrived at our first destination, Prambanan Temple. The temple is the largest Hindu temple in Indonesia, however, it collapsed during a major earthquake and is slowly being reconstructed.

After that, we arrived at the glamping site. We were greeted by the friendly camp rangers and given a brief orientation and they showed us around. We were divided into different groups and each group was allocated a cozy cottage with breath-taking views. On the 2nd day, we had lots of games. We even had a cooking competition! We made soup with vegetables and seasonings! Our lunch was very fun to make.

On the final day, we went on an awesome and exhilarating Jeep tour in the mountains.

Finally, we tallied up our team scores and declared the winners. We learnt valuable teamwork skills during this field trip.
