  • Abstract: Cell staining particularly that of onion cells is one of the activities done in secondary school Biology class however, not all schools have chemical stain. The usual stain is iodine solution that is used to cause a chemical reaction with the starch in plants. In this study, the proponents investigated the possibility of using crude turmeric extracts as a substitute to commercially available histological stain.
