- Abstract: What is fertiliser? It is an additional substance added to plants to help them grow faster and healthier. There is a big possibility that by the year 2050, the world’s population will be around 9 billion people. As the world’s population is increasing, we want to make sure there is enough food for the years to come as we need to make 60% more food by 2050. What can we do to have more production of food? As primary students, we researched how to increase vegetable and fruit production in a very achievable and cheapest ways using food waste like fruit or vegetable peels. We observed and collected data to see the result by comparing plants without fertiliser and plants using our homemade fertiliser. Somehow, we know there is hope in the future if we turn some of our food waste into fertilisers.
