- Abstract: The researchers have observed that one of the most discarded items in a classroom are crayons, especially those that are halfway finished or broken. The researches then decided to make use of these discarded crayons and turn them into useful scented candles. By adding cheap and recycled wax, the researchers were able to experiment on different types of scented candles. The project targeted 3 SDGs. SDG 3 is about health and well being. The students feel that by using scented candels at home or in the office can brighten the mood of individuals. The nice scent of the candles can also make the environment very relaxing. SDG 12 is about responsible consumption. By making use of the discarde crayons, the students are able to eliminate unwanted waste and completely use the crayons which comes hand in hand with SDG 15 which is decreasing waste and subsequent pollution on land.
