- Abstract: This project explores the effectiveness of a DIY doormat made from recycled socks in terms of comfort, appearance, and usability. By repurposing old socks, the study promotes sustainability aligned with SDG goals 12 and 13. The doormat was constructed by cutting, twisting, sewing, and knitting sock strips, then tested for grip, comfort, and appearance. Results showed high user satisfaction in comfort (85% rated it very good or excellent) and moderate approval in appearance. Overall, the recycled doormat is a practical and eco-friendly solution that gives socks a second life while offering functional value and visual appeal.
