- Abstract: According to www.unicef.org on February 2022, nearly 70 per cent of the 20,000 household drinking water sources tested in Indonesia as part of a recent study* are contaminated by faecal waste, facilitating the spread of diarrhoeal disease, which is the leading cause of death in children under 5 years. As our group wishes to offer another way to provide clean water especially to the poor communities, let us present the pebble-sand water filter. It is added that sand is widely available because of its price. Sand is used in the different filtration processed such as wastewater treatment, drinking water purification, swimming pool filtration and etc.
