8 Study Tips

8 Study Tips by Nicholas & Joanne

1. Give yourself enough time to study
Do not leave your studies to be done in the last minute as this will result in cramming for an exam, resulting in anxiety. Sort out your time management and set up a timetable for your study.
2. Practice previous test papers
This is one of the most effective ways of revising for your exam as you can avoid mistakes you’ve made before in previous exams. Practice by answering questions from past papers to help you get a sense of the type of questions that might appear in the exam.
3. Have enough rest before the paper
As much as you want to study to the max, you have to ensure that you have rested well for the paper. If your body is exhausted, consider your brain even more so. Do not let any distractions stop you from getting a good night’s sleep.
4. Drink enough water
Remember that being well hydrated is essential for your brain to work at its best. Drinking water is a simple yet important thing to be done.
5. Organize you study space
Make sure that your study space gives you an easy access to your study materials, water and other necessities for your studies. Get rid of all distractions and ensure that you feel as comfortable and able to focus as possible.
6. Explain your answer to your friends
Believe it or not by explaining the answer to your friends, you basically do yourself a favor. It will be clear to you and also highlight any areas where you need more work.
7. Organize study group with your friends
Though most of the time we study alone, it is useful to have a study group. Others in the group may have answers for your questions and vice versa. As long as you stay focused, this is one of the most effective ways to revise with your friends. It’s a win-win for you and your friends.
8. Review all the topics
Since you will never know whether a question related to another topic might pop up, it is best to be prepared with further studies of other topics.
All the best for your upcoming exams!
