My experience at HMCA was an unforgettable one. I got the chance to experience the wonders of Tokyo, Japan along with my fellow friends. The HMCA stretched out to 3 days. During the first day of HMCA, the staff welcomed us with open arms and presented us with many gifts including a T-shirt and a tote bag. Then, me and my friends were separated into our own committees. I was assigned to the House Intelligence Committee. My committee chair also helped me adapt to the new environment by playing a few games and introducing me to the rules and regulations at HMCA. After the first day, I went back to the hotel feeling satisfied as I had gotten to know many generous people there.

On the second day of HMCA, I worked together with my committee members and authored many bills together. Then, the authors of the bills would present their arguments. That way, we could understand what their bill was about and could see their views on the topic. Afterwards, everyone would vote on the most appropriate bills so that they may get passed. It was an intense but exciting day as I could further my understanding of HMCA.

On the last day of HMCA, we had the awarding ceremony to determine who was the best delegate in each committee. Unfortunately, I did not manage to receive the award but I did get something invaluable, experience. Sadly, it was time to wave goodbye to the friends that we have made there. I was devastated that I had to part ways with my reliable and hard-working friends. However, we made a promise to one another that we will meet again.
