Holy Week: Bible Quiz

On Friday, 21st April, the interhouse bible quiz competition was held during the Friday Assembly by Faith Building teacher, Ms. Hazel. The contestants were tested on their knowledge about God, bible characters, verses, etc. If they got an answer right, points would be added to the contestant’s respective house.

Each house had to form two groups of six members each, and all members had to be from different grades. Questions were read aloud by Ms. Angie and other teachers were also assigned to help tally the scores and check for answers. The groups had only 10 seconds to think and write down an answer before they were to put them up. The quiz had three levels: Easy, Average and Difficult.

Of course, like in some other similar contests, the participants had a debate with the teachers about accepting an answer. One of the yellow team groups had answered ‘Egypt’ instead of ‘Egyptian’, so it took a few moments of “arguing” before the quiz resumed.

The winners were announced as soon as the quiz ended. Here are the results:

1. First place went to the Green Panthers Group 1. They earned 100 points for their house.
2. Second place went to the Yellow Eagles Group 1. They earned 80 points for their house.
3. Third place went to the Yellow Eagles Group 2. They earned another 70 points for their house.

As for the overall results:

• The Yellow Eagles earned a total of 150 points.
• The Green Panthers earned a total of 120 points.
• The Blue Dolphins earned a total of 110 points.
• The Red Rhinos earned a total of 70 points.
