Our Winners – Yellow Team!

On 21st July 2017, the staff of BBS KJ put aside all their work and came together for a day of fun and games. Even the Principal, V Principal and office staff joined in. It was indeed a sight to see the sporty and wacky side of the staff.

Just like the students, the teachers were divided into houses, complete with house t-shirts. And just like students, they were “loud and noisy”. The teachers took the competition seriously, with teachers co-operating and encouraging their house members, and even with some complaining to the umpires about bad decisions.

The event were well organised by the Values-in-Action and the Physical Education teams. The activities were designed to bring out the co-operation, quick thinking and athleticism of the teachers. The day started with an invigorating Mass Aerobic Workout led by Mr Rijal. This was followed by team building games like coming up with a House Cheer and Disentangling the Human Knot. Then came the games that included Waling in Tandem on Skates; Drawing a Face Blind-folded; Blowing a Ping Pong Ball into a Cup and the Caterpillar Walk. The final event was an exciting Captain Ball Competition.

Teachers, young and old, gave their best trying to score points for their houses. Some teachers exhibited good skills and co-ordination, others their creating ideas, and yet others their voices of support. After an exhausting competition Yellow House emerged the Champions, followed by Red, Blue and Green. Congratulations to the winners and for the others there are other competitions coming up throughout the year.

The day ended with a sumptuous meal and barbeque prepared by the teachers. The lunch was graced by the presence of Mr Surya Putra Subandi, the President Director of the Board. The staff went home with aches and pains but with a broad smile on their faces.
