  • Abstract: This project focuses on transforming plastic waste, particularly used plastic bags and packaging, into functional file folders. Recognizing that plastic takes hundreds of years to decompose, the team aimed to reduce pollution by repurposing it into useful school items. The process involved cleaning, cutting, layering, ironing, shaping, and sewing plastic materials into durable folders. Testing results showed that the folders could hold up to 50 papers and were water-resistant, effectively protecting contents from moisture. The project highlights the practicality of recycling plastic into everyday items while reducing environmental impact. It supports SDGs related to responsible consumption and climate action by encouraging sustainable habits and reducing plastic waste.
