ANDROMEDA 8TERNITY CUP

The much-awaited Andromeda 8termity Cup took place in Penabur Secondary in Tanjung Duren, near Central Park. The  2-day event started on the 9th to 18th of February. It encompassed various competitions including English Debate, Modern Dance, Mural, Futsal, Basketball, Photography, Fashion Design, Floorball and Band. Over a dozen schools gathered together to participate in these competitions.

The theme, was the  usual Andromeda Galaxy and the slogan was “Out of This World”. It puts emphasis on the team’s uniqueness. Our school, fortunately, managed to win 3rd place for the Junior Futsal Boys. The Junior Basketball Girls also won 1st place, along with the champion Junior Basketball Boys. In addition, Sacca, from Sec 2 Wesley, won a Photography award themed “euphoria”.

The purpose of this Andromeda Cup was for every participant to gain new experience – meet other students, make friends with students from different backgrounds, schools and cultures, and of course to cultivate sportsmanship amongst the local student body. Representing different communities, everyone had to cooperate to make things work and develop harmonious relationships between competitors .

Mr. Anto was quoted saying our motto should be “Practice More, Do the Best” and he was right. We should be grateful for what we have, but we should also strive towards getting better. Congratulations to all the winners!
