On August 18 2025, Bina Bangsa School commemorated Indonesia’s 80th Independence Day with a series of meaningful and engaging activities. The event began with the flag-raising ceremony, led by a group of student representatives. As the red and white flag was raised, students, teachers, and staff stood together to sing the national anthem and Mengheningkan Cipta, honoring the struggles and achievements that shaped the nation’s freedom. The ceremony captured the spirit of unity and patriotism that defines this special day.
Following the ceremony, students gathered on the school court for the annual house games. Divided into Red, Green, Yellow, and Blue Houses, participants competed in three main events: tug-of-war, sack race, and basketball shooting. Each competition brought out enthusiasm, teamwork, and friendly rivalry among the houses. Laughter and cheers filled the air as students encouraged one another, showing true sportsmanship throughout the games.

Teachers and staff members also supported the event, helping to ensure that the activities ran smoothly and that everyone participated safely and fairly. The combination of teamwork, discipline, and excitement made the day both enjoyable and memorable.
This year’s Independence Day celebration not only strengthened the bonds within the school community but also served as a reminder of Indonesia’s unity in diversity. Through a mix of ceremony and friendly competition, students not only reflected on the meaning of independence but also experienced how a national milestone can be honored in a fun, spirited way.
