Of course, when Valentine’s Day is mentioned, we think of love, flowers and maybe the gifts, even for all those single pringles out there in the world, but I can assure you that most of us mainly care about the chocolates and food. Here are two of my own recipes to spice up your Valentine’s Day (literally!) .
Indulgent Red Velvet Milkshake
Makes: 2 servings
Ingredients
- 2 generous scoops of chocolate ice cream
- 5 ice cubes
- 1 small slice of red velvet cake/3 tbsp. red velvet cake mix/ 2 tbsp. cocoa powder
- 1 ½ cups (360 mL) of milk
- (if using the cocoa powder option) 2 -3 drops of red food colouring
- whipped cream/cream cheese frosting (optional) with sprinkle of cinnamon
Method
- In a blender, add ice cream, ice cubes, red velvet option, milk (and food
- colouring if using cocoa powder).
- Put on the lid and blend until milkshake is smooth, about 2-3 min.
- Pour in milkshake glasses. Add whipped cream/cream cheese frosting on top using a spoon (or a piping bag if you’re feeling fancy) and sprinkle a small pinch of cinnamon. Enjoy!
