PARENTS’ APPRECIATION DAY

In order to honour all parents and recognise their effort, Bina Bangsa School-PIK Primary celebrated Parents’ Appreciation Day last 14^th of February 2019. Unlike other celebrations, this event was not filled with performances but with heartfelt letters.

Each level was given a unique task that praised and appreciated the hardwork of a parent in a family and in the society. The students were given an activity sheet that they had to complete. Envelopes were also distributed to make their letters more personal and honest.

Originally, the envelopes were supposed to be posted in the lobby of the primary school building so that parents could personally take their child’s letter. Unfortunately, the seminar that was scheduled for that day was moved to a later date due to unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances. The students were instructed to personally hand in their letters to their parents on the same day.

Throughout this special event, we became more aware of how difficult yet fulfilling it is to become a parent of one family. May this be a reminder to always show love, care and gratitude to those who always help us to stand up strong always in life.

-Lower Primary Parent’s Sharing

One of the Lower Primary activities in the morning assembly is teaching them about the school values of our school on Tuesdays. We invited a P1 parent for our Tuesday Talk Assembly to talk about teamwork in her family. She shared how her husband and her two children work as a team every day. We are grateful for the time she allotted for us.
