In the day-and-age of the 21st Century, education seems trivial. Amidst the ever-dominating internet and brand-new facets of technology, mindless stimulation is favored over honing one’s brain. But what happens if society is rid of education forever, and why is it so important especially in today’s modern world?

“教育使人易于领导，但难以驾驭； 易于管理，但无法奴役.”
上面的引述恰如其分地证明了教育的重要性。 教育包括知识的教授和学习、正确的行为和技术能力。 学习包括道德价值观和品格的提高以及增加心灵力量的方法。教育塑造品格、强化心智、增长知识并使我们独立。 教育消除无知。 教育使我们有机会充分发挥我们的潜力。 教育是对人类思想的改造。 没有教育，人类思维的训练是不完整的。 人的思想是用来训练的，没有教育，一个人是不完整的。
教育使人成为正确的思想家和有能力的决策者。 而这只能通过教育来实现，教育要让一个人了解他周围和之外的世界，教他推理，让他熟悉历史，这样一个人才能更好地判断现在。没有教育，人就像被关在封闭的房间里，无处出入，与外界完全隔绝。 但是教育使人进入了开放的世界。 一个没有受过教育的人不会读书写字，因此他无法接触到他可以通过书籍和其他媒介获得的所有知识和智慧。 未受过教育或受教育程度较低的人过上自己选择的生活的机会较少。
