~Until one has loved an animal, a part of one’s soul remains unawakened~
Animals, like men are the creatures of God. Animals play an important yet unique role in human culture. We use animals for our own benefit, and sometimes forget that they are also living things. Humans have established themselves as the greater species, therefore placing animals below them, causing us to lose sight of the fact that animals play a vital role in our society. We take advantage of animals and think nothing of it. The animals of this world exist for their own reasons.
They were not made for humans anymore than black people were made for whites (Alice Walker). There are many fears in the world, for one animals are afraid of us. They probably think that we humans would hurt them. And they’re actually right, we use them for clothes, food, transportation and entertainment. These are really good valid reasons to be afraid of. Throughout the years, there have been many adjustment in how to treat animals, which include animal rights. People shouldn’t abuse the power of an animal.
In part of celebrating Children’s Day 2019, BBS PIK Primary had carried out an inspiring Talk Show with Tiffany (BBS PIK JC student) about her life that shows compassion by Feeding Street Cats and Raising Fund for them from her own Online Shop. Tiffany’s message is so strong, “Don’t let anyone stop you from doing kindness”, may this message inspire all of us that life will be more meaningful if we can share kindness to others, show compassion to others, especially animals. God has created us for a meaningful reason, let’s reach out upon His grace and be a person who show loves and affections to others.
Ms Lina had given a privilege for those students who were interested to ask some questions to Tiffany after the assembly. They could ask and share about their thoughts to Tiffany and had a small discussion. Some students showed enthusiasm and curiosity towards Animal’s life and they were excited to know more. Lesson learnt that day: Animals deserve loves and good treatment as well.
–No animal deserves cruelty and no wild animal should spend its life in captivity.–
